The one with US!

This year will mark our 5th wedding anniversary! I can't believe that in just a couple of weeks (August 12th) it will be 5 years already - the time has flown by. If you count the 3 years that we dated you get....
I have had this idea in my mind for a while now. I even bought the Prima 'us' knowing I would do something like this. So this weekend I finally got around to putting all my ideas together.
A more close up shot. This might set a record for least amount of paper used on one layout for me....as well as the most photos ever - (27 to be exact!) It was hard to use a lot of pattern with so many photos.

I think I love how it turned out so much that this might get framed and hung in our bedroom since the colors will go well.

Last night I was super productive and whipped up a layout in record time - I have been feeling super creative lately. Must be all the inspiration from new CHA products out there!!!

Have a great week,

The one with some Oxford

A couple weeks ago I picked up my kit from Scrappy Chic and was sooo excited that I got this line. Its one of those lines that I wouldn't pick out for myself but did want to try it out. At first I was going to go super non traditional and do a non school layout.... but then I remembered this photo!!! It was perfect (though the colors look a little blown out in the photo its better in real life)
A little peek of my favorite part.... I challenged myself to use a circle on my layout and I really like the results. I think this is something I will be using more often now!
Angela recommended this great circle cutting tool....and under $10 for a cool tool I figured it was worth a try... I too will recommend it now :)

Tonight after work I zipped over to Scrappy Chic to drop off my layouts... I had a fun chat with their newest girl - another Liz! I did a little more shopping than I planned too. A bunch of the new Smash stuff was in stock and I had my pick of it all. I got the calendar pockets and some tabs too. If you are looking for some of the books she had about 10 out on the shelf!!!!

I finally got my hands on some of the Authentique paper and embellishments - so cute and love the quality. Reminds me a lot of MME!

So glad that I have no plans this week so I can start playing with all my new fun stuff :)

The one with some Poutine

The Scrappy Chic girls are at CHA and having so much fun! I wish I could have gone this time....but I have a job that's keeping me pretty busy here. Hopefully there will be room for me to go next time to LA! Check out Angela's posts.... and Chris' posts for some fun updates.

With all the great inspiration flying around on the blogs I thought I would do a little scrapbooking of my own. This is one of my most favorite releases from CHA winter..... WeR travel line!!!

The long weekend in July we went to a small town north of Montreal for a family wedding. My husband's cousin was getting married. The day of the wedding we went to the best little roadside cantine for Poutine. You can't go all the way to Quebec and NOT have poutine!
(sorry for the sideways pic).... I love the colors of this line with the pictures! Classic color combos of blue, red and yellow with crisp white. Its hard to see but I used some of the BG pleated paper under the photo.
When my husband was younger, his family used to get Poutine at this roadside cafe all the time. It didn't look like much...but the food was great. Prefect for a sunny afternoon!

We had so much fun at the wedding.... we survived the crazy heat and ate lots of good food!

This weekend Alain is busy with two bachelor parties of Friday and Saturday so I have the whole weekend to myself. I plan on doing lots of scrapping, some golfing and shopping too! Can't wait til Friday now!

The one with some previews

Its my most favorite time of year.... and it happends twice a year! CHA preview time!

So far here are some of my favorites :)

Crate Paper....they have really picked up their game the past few years. Love the Random line! I get teased by my family that I use that word too much... so this line is for me!!!

I always love BG.... but this time around was a real miss for me! Shock! I know!!!

I am usually not a fan of christmas paper but I do like their Nordic Winter line - Indie Bloom on the other hand it just too crazy for my style!! The little Black dess has lots of potential but I need to see it in person.

Click Here for a list of all the companies and links to their previews!!!

So what are your faves so far???

The one with another calendar page...

and some cards! Now they are nothing like the amazing cards like my friend Angela makes... but I had a bunch of scraps on my desk and thought I would use them up while the creativity was flowing :)
Some scraps of the Summertime line from Simple Stories! Love this line.
A quick bday card with a cute cupcake cut out - yum! I love these calendar pages! For me its a super simple way to get lots of photos on one page. For this one I crammed tons of fun pictures we took on Hollywood Blvd. I also got to use one of my favorite scribble words from KI. The flower stamps are BG by Hero Arts.
Lots of journaling along the side and little blurbs to explain all the photos. Simple and easy!!

Last weekend we went to St. Hyacinthe (an hour north of Montreal, Quebec) for a wedding. I have some fun photos to scrap from that weekend. We ate lots of poutine, did some shopping, visiting with family and ate at our favorite spot - St. Hub's!
This weekend Alain is in a tournament at the club and tonight is the formal dinner. Can't wait to get all dressed up! Hopefully we will get some nice pictures :)

But right now I need to get ready and head over to Scrappy Chic to pick up my new kit. I feel like I haven't had enough time to scrap this summer... the next two weekends should be a little more open so I plan to do lots of scrapping!!!

Have a great weekend :)
