The one with some Winter Twig!

Could some one please tell me why-oh-why Blogger must auto rotate my photos on me??? This is one of the reasons that I have NOT blogged as much as I would have liked.... I have been fighting with the computer. So..... I give up....

I have had this layout on my desk almost two months now. This line from LYB is so super cute!
I really just only a tiny bit of paper on this one... might be a record for me. The Hambly transparency is one of my most favorite things right now. I don't know! But after I got it in my kit a few months ago I had to go back and get a whole sheet for myself.

Lots of different products here - AC Thickers, Pink Paislee trim, Close to my Heart snowflakes. Too bad its sideways... but the photo is a super cute pic from years ago when we were at Mont Tremblant (ski resort north or Montreal).

This week being back at work has made me sooo tired. I am looking forward to a low key weekend and possibly a little scrapbooking!

Hope you have a great weekend - and that you have more exciting plans than I do ;)

The one with some Valentines....

Happy Belated Valentines :)

Typically we don't make a big fuss over valentines. This year was no different. Usually we just go to dinner somewhere.... but we do that almost every week so its not *that* special. Since I am still on the mend from my surgery about a month ago we didn't do anything at all this year. We are waiting until I am all healed up and feeling up for it.

I did get some great Valentines paper in my last Scrappy Chic kit - Crate Paper is one of my favorite paper companies. So I dug into my old pictures to find this one from a wedding we went to back in 2004!!! Ahh... so young...
Lots of fun little accents here with the border stickers, washi tape, label stickers and some (old) rubons!

This week I am going to be going back to work.... and working a ton since (after being off for a month!!) we are very behind on some deadlines that are fast approaching. Hopefully I can get it all done in time.
Hope everyone had a great Valentines! Happy 'Family Day' to the Canadians tomorrow :)

The one with black and white

Still trying to catch up from November's design team layouts!!!

This line from BoBunny is all black and white and grey and sparkles - perfect for a wedding picture!

I had this photo from my wedding (5.5years ago!) still sitting in my pile of photos so I figured it would be perfect for this black and white paper. I loved the background paper so much so I kept it really simple. Lots of trims, ribbons and washi tape make up the matting of the photo.
Kinda hard to tell since its all monochromatic. The flower is one of the new Basic Grey flowers with a little making memories brad in the centre.

This weekend I hope to get some time to use up my latest kit and take some photos of the layouts on my desk. Have a great weekend,

The one with a New Year...

Happy (belated) New Year to all!!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Holiday! I took a little non-planned vacation from blogging because there has just been too much going on. Where to start...

When I last blogged we were finishing up our bathroom reno - which is now 99.9% done. I feel like there are a few little touch ups that could be done so I can't say we are 100% there! Once we finished the bathroom I decided that our bedroom looked a little sad. So now we are almost done with that room as well. Our new bed should arrive sometime this week. I will share pictures of both projects soon!

On the 29th of November I celebrated my 30th birthday. Well actually that's not entirely true - I turned 30 but did NOT celebrate at all. We had a small birthday dinner with my family the weekend before and that was it. On my actual birthday I had a meeting until 9pm which kept me busy and made me think about it a little less. lol!

Alain knew I didn't want a big party - or any party - so instead he got me a little something to cheer me up :)

Yes that is my brand new iPad2!!! Its so white and shiny and cool!!! I love it sooooo much. It may also be the reason that I didn't scrapbook too much lately - Pinterest is just so cool on the Ipad... not to mention all the fun games that totally suck you in (My Town, Angry Birds, Mr.Giggles - just to name a few).

I do have a back log of layouts from before the Holidays that I have not had time to share yet... so today I will share a quick layout using lots of great fall stuff from LYB! I love these colours so much! The papers make it easy to make quick beautiful layouts. I added some Studio Calico letter stickers that are some of my favorites!!
The little flower in the corner was made with the 'paper flower kit' which I love. All the pieces match so its perfect!

Have a great week and hopefully I will be back soon with some reno pictures!

The one with a mini...

Its been a looooong time since I have made a mini. I love the look and intend to make them all the time... but then I just make another scrapbook page. So this month when I got this line from Simple Stores in my kit I knew right away it would make a cute mini. (btw- simple stories is all on sale this month at Scrappy Chic - 25%off!)

I can't remember what blog I saw this idea on but its the fastest, cheapest mini ever! ( Edit - found the site here - scroll down half way to see the inspiration album here!!) So all I used was three sheets of paper, one sticker sheet and mics letter stickers and chipboard. I think it all totals to be under $10. (Great Christmas gift idea maybe???)

Hers is the front...
Inside cover... my mom and dad :)

Second page.... us :)

Back cover...

On the back side....

and....

So all you need is one sheet of 12x12 paper cut in half. Score both pieces at 4" so it makes 4x6 pages. Then glue the two pages together. It makes a 'Z' shaped album.

On the front cover just sew some ribbon on to each side so that you can fold it flat and tie it up. Great for a little baby brag book or for a desk.

If it still doesn't make sense then you will have to check it out at Scrappy Chic in real life. In total I think it took me about 2 hours to complete the whole project. The Simple Stories line make it super easy with the mix of journal card paper, stickers and patterned paper.

I have plans to make a couple more for some special Christmas gifts now :)

This week I have been super busy with work... and also 3 invitation consultations! The girls are super sweet and I can't wait to work with them. I love how every bride has such a different idea for their wedding....which means I get to be extra creative coming up with something special just for them.

Off to work on some quotes and maybe scrapbook a little too!

Have a great night,
