The one with 24 hour notice!

Well maybe a little bit more.... but really at about 11pm last night I got an e-mail from Chris saying that Angela would not be able to go to CHA.... and would I like to go in her place! You don't have to ask me twice :)

Its a very unfortunate situation with Angela not being able to go. I know she was super excited and had everything all set. Even got a new rolling tote! So I am keeping her little kitty Marty in my thoughts and hoping that she gets better soon.

Today was a crazy day, got up super early to make calls to move things around this week so I could go to CHA. Then Alain and I went to a Detroit Tigers baseball game with some of my ex-co-workers, Tim and Ash. We had lots of fun.... and got lots of sun! Boy was it hot up there! lol. Then we walked over to Nikki's pizza after the game... my favorite pizza joint ever!

Once we got back around 6 I still had to pack and get some last minute things organized.... bought a new point-n-shoot camera.... made a card for my Momenta post coming on Thursday.... made dinner.... played with my new camera... now blogging and then off to watch a movie. Phew... makes me tired thinking of it all :)

But I know there will be no time to rest in the next few days! I hear CHA is crazy busy and really fun. I hope to sneak on Chris's computer to do a little blogging while I am there to keep you all up to date!

Have a great night!

The one with 2 layouts

When I got my DT kit for Scrappy Chic this month I was so excited about the new Little Yellow Bicycle- travel line of papers that I got! I do travel a fair bit so I knew I would have something to go with it.
I had a great idea to take a picture of my 'travel mugs' that I have been collecting over the last few years. My husband said this was one of his favorite pages ever.... well after the Alpine Love page that is :)

Lots of different products used here. Are you tired of seeing banner yet??? I hope not because I am smitten with them :) I hope its a trend that will stick around for a while!!!
Banner from Girls' Paperie travel line! BG letters and brads!

Love how my journaling turned out here. You might need a magnifying glass to read it.... but still its super cute. Turned over some Tim Holtz tickets and printed my journaling on the back. Just a little formatting in power point and go it right on the first try!!!

Remember how I said that Angela and I traded scraps???? Well this is what I did with her Bo Bunny leftovers :)
Really simple and fun page! Had these laying on my desk for a while now so I am glad to get them scrapped. Do you think the feathers look up-side-down?? lol. Oh well :) Just noticed that now!

Off to do a million little things on my list today! And maybe some scrapping later tonight!
Have a great day!

The one with Momenta projects

Thought I would share my Momenta projects with you. These are for the month of June... a little behind but it always takes me longer to get my products! So here they are:

Family Affair line.... a picture of me and Andrew about 10 years ago! You can tell it was summer and we were both out golfing with our very tanned (or red!) faces. Wish I still looked that young :)

Cute card I made for a friends birthday!
Poutine pics from my trio to Quebec. The paper with all the saying on it and the map paper are both from the celebrations and occasions paper pack!
AU- Autodesk University. I attended in december 2008. I have had my badge in my 'to scrap' pile for a long time. So I finally got around to it. The paper used on this is from the Endless Summer paper pack!
I had a really great morning... I played golf with some really nice ladies over at the club.... and had my best round of the year so far! 73!!!!! Super excited!!!!
Friday is the Ladies Member Guest tournament so today was just suppose to be practice for that... so I hope I play that well this friday!!

Off to do some scrapbooking now. Alain is out at Volleyball but I can't wait to watch SYTYCD when he gets home (yes I have him hooked... but Alex was his favorite so now he might not be as into it!) Poor Alex.... he was just so awesome... I am so sad that he is out because of an injury!

Have a great night!

The one with some just for me!

This weekend I made a couple layouts that were just for me. Not for any design team! It was really fun to use whatever I wanted for a change.

This first layout is about my 'adopted' grandparents. They babysat me ever since I was 4 months old and my mom had to go back to work. The Ganley's became my grandparents and all of their 15 children!!!! became my aunts and uncles. Since all of my real family did not live in the same city, I was much closer to my Ganley family, spending almost every weekend with them as a child. I bought this paper a few months ago with this picture in mind. I think the feel and the colors of the floral look a little 70's.... (althought his pic was taken in '84)

The paper, trim, and flowers are all Kaiser Crafts. AC thickers (of course) and October afternoon letter stickers for the title. I like that this is more of a simple layout... more about the picture and the story.

This second layout.... well.... not so sentimental.... but a priceless picture for another reason! It makes me laugh! And no... I did not have to make them pose for these. This was all on their own!
My hubby and his brother at the Beer store in New Brunswick. So glad I had my camera out at this moment! Had a feeling that they would be entertaining... since all they talked about the whole trip was when we would have time to get this beer! lol. Not a classy moment by any means. But I tried to bring it up at least with some great Pink Paislee - 365 degree line of papers. This is the 4th layout I think I have done with this line.... I just love the colors so much. Wish I bought more!

One of the fun things that Angela and I did on Sunday was a little product swap! We both brought all of our leftovers from the design team kits that we got over the last 5 months and picked through each others. Since we have really different styles this worked out great. I got some banner stickers, Bo-Bunny scraps and a bunch of great stuff. One of her scraps was a little piece of the Pink Paislee 365 degrees stripe... I was so excited for that since I was all out (note to self ---always buy 2!!!)

I think this is a fun idea that you could do at your next crop or get together with your scrappy friends. What might be a scrap to you would be a gem to someone else :)

Anyway... almost done with my Momenta layouts for this month... will share tomorrow!
Have a great afternoon,

The one with a Winner!

Hope you all had a great weekend!
For a change I had a very low key weekend. For once we didn't plan 8 million things crammed into two days. It was really nice! The golf course was busy with the annual Men's tournament so I did lots of scrapbooking.

Yesterday I met up with Angela at Scrappy Chic for the free crop. We did lots of chatting and also got a lot done. For me, two layouts and two cards is pretty darn good!

This first layout is MME- So Sophie! Love the color mix here....
The papers, letter stickers and paper trims are all MME. Ribbon is AC, Prima flowers, Cosmo Cricket mini letters and Ruby Rock-It journal spot.

Ruby Rock-It is a newer company to the states... and I am very excited about it! This month I got the papers to work with in my DT kit. I thought the really traditional feel of this paper went well with my picture of the girls all dressed up for Fathers day dinner.....The letters, photo corners, felt frame and paper are all Ruby products.... AND this month they are all 25% off at Scrappy Chic. Make sure to bring your coupon!!! I stocked up.... got a bunch of the frames (Only $1.89 each!) and three packs of the chipboard letters (orange, blue and black!).

A little birthday card made from the left over Bo Bunny papers from last month DT kit.
A very simple card with the left over MME papers. Need to get more of this sutff for sure!

Sooooo...... now to what you are really here for! The Winner of the Momenta prize :)

Drum Roll................
MrsPreK !!!!!!!!! Please e-mail me your address so I can send your goodies!!!

The one with Fancy Pants

The new release from Fancy Pants 'Wishful Thinking' is one of my all time faves! A little girlie, a little whimsical, mix of dark and light pink with turquoise! Yummy! So I was very excited when I got my DT kit last month and saw that I got a bunch of it :)
Here is what I came up with...

These pictures that Angela took at Mega Meet are just so darn cute! And go perfect with this paper. Not the best picture of this layout.... but the brown triangle border at the bottom is the new BG basics line, the crochet flower is AC Dear Lizzy and the rick rak is May Arts.

This layout is of my Babe. The background paper is really cute green sparkle dots (hard to tell from this pic). The butterflies are Jenni Bowlin stickers that I pop dotted up and added some stitched tails.

These are all up at Scrappy Chic! Just got my new DT kit on monday and I am super excited for the new stuff. Angela (from the design team) and I are going to meet up at the store on sunday to crop. Its always free on sundays so if you are a local girl you should come on out!!!

As well you all have til monday to comment on this post to WIN some fun Momenta goodies! Monday I will pick a winner and share my Momenta DT layouts for June! Good luck :)

Have a great weekend!

PS- Thanks to everyone who posted such sweet comments yesterday! Made my week!!!

The one with Momenta CANDY!

Blog Candy that is!!

This is my second month of being on the Momenta design team. They are super generous with their products, which means that I have lots to share with you! This is the first time I have done blog candy.... and I am so excited. I won't make it too hard for you either..... no having to follow me (but it would be nice if you did!)... or posting on facebook (since i don't have it!).... just a good and simple! Check out what you can win :)

Now all you have to do is leave a comment! How easy is that! You can comment on this post anytime before Monday.... and I will pick a Winner on Monday! Good luck!
(US and Canada only please, one comment per person)

I know I promised this like two weeks ago...I can't believe I have been MIA for so long! The last couple weeks I have been golfing a lot.... and working on more design team layouts for both Momenta and Scrappy Chic. So I do have lots of scrappy goodness to share this week with you.

Any local Scrappy Chic girls make it out to the big sale on Monday? It was chaos! For one hour Chris had the entire store at 40% off. I did manage to scoop up some good deals of my own. Very excited to play with all my new stuff. If I was smart I would have stocked up on some essentials as well :)

My new toy came in too! I got a Cuttlebug :) I have had lots of fun playing with it as well. I got two sets of nestabilities dies and one embossing folder so far. I think I am going to love using this little guy! My cricut is now stored away in the closet. I haven't used it in forever anyway.... so I thought it was time to make room for things I use all the time. My sewing machine now sits in its place.... and I need to find a good storage place for my new bug!

Off to get some house work done.... or maybe just scrapbook ;)
