The one with my Nanny

My Nanny - my father's mother. Everyone always called her that, even my grandpa Jack. I found a book of old photos not too long ago and this was one that I just loved. This was my Nanny on the day of her first holy communion. I love this picture.

I have been hoarding (or saving!!) this Pink Paislee paper for just the right layout. I thought it was special enough for this picture. The photo is not the best - doesn't not do it justice. I have been playing around with different places in the house to photograph my layouts but haven't found the perfect place yet! (maybe we just need more sun!!!)

Close up of the photo. I left a space to add in the year. I keep forgetting to ask my dad what year she was born so I could estimate the year of the photo!

This weekend I was super motivated and got two layouts done with one line - I know that sounds weird but two layouts from 3 pieces of paper for me its crazy. I usually use up to 5 pieces on a layout :) I will share those soon..... just have to find a good place to photograph them! lol.

Hope you have a great week - short week for me with Easter this weekend! yay! lots of time to golf - weather permitting!

This is absolutely gorgeous! I love scrapping these old photos...I did one of my DH's grandma's senior picture (circa around 1935). It is still my favorite of any of my LOs!

Such a beautiful vintage layout. I love the papers and the flowers especially - worth saving for a layout as special as this :)

The layout and the photo are both stunning! I love that giant bow on tiny Nanny's head, and the way you echo it in the flowers is just perfect.

Yes, I vote for lots more sun. It's been like winter around here this week! That photo is precious and your product choices are perfect, I would love to have a book of old photos to scrap!
