Back from Vegas... and haven't stopped since! Played golf Friday, Saturday and Sunday! Today was Alain's work golf tournament. We played husbands vs. wives.... and after 16 holes we were tied at 3 under par. We got called off the course because of tornado warnings.... we we had to call it a draw. Still I think we did pretty well!
Now, this is the first card that I have ever made with a picture on it! But I think its so cute.
It is mostly because they are the cutest couple ever :) I made this girl's wedding invitations and her maid of honor asked me to make her an extra special card.
I don't have the sample of her invites unfortunately.... she still has it. But if I get it back I will share. They were really nice!
So this is the seating chart I made to for her. The paper was all left over from the invites so it worked out perfectly!
Colors are a little off in this photo but they were a shimmer mocha color with dark pink accents. There are six cards that she put on a mirror as people entered the hall. She is on her honeymoon now.... but promises she will send pictures of it all together :)
Hope you had a great weekend!
I have lots of scrapping to do this week, as well as a few golf matches that I need to play! So it will be a busy week.
Oh and a Momenta RAK later this week a well :)

The one on the Plane!
Blogging from somewhere between Detroit and Las Vegas!! I am about half way there right now. Just thought I would pop in since I will be away til Friday.
I am coming up on my 100th blog post.... I think this is 97! I have a Momenta giveaway planned for my 100th post! So look for that early next week :)

When I checked today it was only 90 degrees in Vegas.... but this week looks like it will be very hot. I hope that we get some golf in... and maybe win some money too :)
Have a great week!

The one with 2 quickies!
Yesterday was such a beautiful day here! Sunny and breezy and not too warm. I spent some time outside gardening.... watering plants and weeding. Have to say its one of my least favorite things to do! But I am determined NOT to kill my flowers this year :)
I let Babe out with me while I was in the back yard. She really loves being outside. I think she misses how she was able to go out a lot more when we lived at my parents house, not in the city, with lots of land around.
She hates the camera so I never get her cute face.... but here she is sunning in the grass...
And when she gets too hot, she goes under the patio table.

In scrappy news, I made a couple quick layouts last night. I don't love these pictures so I just wanted to get them done. A couple from my trip to Myrtle Beach last fall. (BoBunny paper)
This piece of paper I have had for almost 4 years now! I saw it in a store and for some reason only bought one piece!!! There is co-ordinating red words on the back that might have been fun too. But oh well.... at least I finally got to use it. Nothing exciting her! Just wanted to use this paper and put our tickets on it as well.
Other than that, I made a really cute wedding seating chart for one of the Brides that I did invites for. Have to post that another day. Still don't have a sample of her invite to share... have to get that back from her!
Tomorrow we are celebrating Fathers day... separately. Turned out that Alain's family and my family both planned stuff on the same night. So I will be going with my family for dinner and Alain will be at his Aunts BBQ. Not enough time to do everything!!!
Hope you all have a great weekend!

The one with the guys
Last night I felt like scrapbooking ... so found this picture of the guys on the Cruise. These are my husband's good guy friends. Most of them have been friends since grade school!
They are all super fun guys so I thought they needed some bright, funky colors and prints. So I used lots of Pink Paislee here.... a mix of 365 degrees and Bayberry Cottage! (seeing this now I think I need a bit of red on the left side of the photo!..humm)

The one with a fair
Friday night I had Josie over to scrapbook. She got a lot done... and I got this done :)
I really loved working with this Bo Bunny paper! This one will be up at Scrappy Chic later this month!
All the paper is Bo Bunny, mixed with some Pink Paislee artisan tape and pleated ribbon trim. I am addicted to this trim..... I need more of it already!! Banners seem to be very 'in' right, so I created this one with Heidi Swapp stars, inked and placed along a stitched swag. Topped off with lots of buttons on this page! Really like how this one turned out.
My problem right now is that I have run out of pictures to scrapbook. At least I feel that way. I guess I will have to dig back into some oldies from my childhood. One thing I told myself when I applied for design teams is that I wouldn't take 'fake' pictures just to have something to scrapbook. I just wanted to use the ones I had that I need to get done with the papers I was give. Hopefully my trip to Vegas next week will get me lots of good pictures!
So yesterday morning we went over to a family friends house who had a ton of really nice interlocking brick that they wanted to get rid of! We said we would take it.... 2 hours of loading brick later... we have a new project to work on! We did make a stamped concrete patio in our back yard about 4 years ago... so now we are going to use the brick to make a path around the garage to our driveway and add a gate at the side of the house. I think it will look great.... but now we just have to do it! lol....
But not today... I am way too sore from all the brick moving yesterday! Ouch.
Hope your having a great weekend!

The one with a not so TGIF
Well today I got the bad news that I did not get the job that I was waiting to hear back about. I really wanted it. But they might need me in September so I will have to wait again to see if they call me then. I really hope to have a job before then, but at least it wasn't a no.... just a not right now! (trying hard to see the bright side here! lol)
So tonight Alain is out with some friends, so I invited Josie over to scrapbook. She is the one that I recruited... ahem... I mean got into scrapbooking last weekend! lol. We are going to make a quick trip to Mikes for some essentials and then down to work :)
I can't wait to use some of my new Scrappy Chic design team stuff!!!
But until then.... here are is my last Momenta project for the month of May (yes I know but I just got my product in!!) lol
Not my best I have to admit. I didn't have very much mojo last night when I was trying to finish it. I hate trying to 'push' it to make it work. Ah, but its done!
What I really need is more pictures to scrap! I really thought I would have way more to scrapbook from our cruise... but I didn't take as many pics as I usually do. And a lot of them were just not cute!
Oh well... leaving for Vegas soon.... so I will have to take lots of fun pictures out there :)
Have a great weekend!

The one with big letters
This past Sunday I went shopping in the states with Jess and Krysti. We ended up going to one of my new favorite spots, TJ Max! I used to go all the time and then kind of forgot about it. But I have been twice recently and scored some great stuff.
These big solid wood letters stand about 14" tall. They were in the clearance isle for $5.00 each! So I scooped them up! The funny thing was they were the only two letters they had.... but the right ones for me (Elizabeth and Alain). Eventually I want to put a floating shelf above the TV in my living room to put them on, but until then they will be in my scrap room :)

Yes my messy scrap desk! Got lots of projects going on so this is actually the most clean it has been in a while :)
In more scrap related news... I finished another Momenta project. This is a quick card I made. They have packages of cards with envelopes that are super cute, ready to decorate.
Yesterday I went over and picked up this months design team Kit for Scrappy Chic! LOVE IT. Shout out to Angela for giving me some great stuff :)
New Fancy Pants paper and stickers! So my colors - turquoise and deep pink!!!
Also bought some stuff to supplement...or maybe just because I wanted them!! lol. Jenni Bowlin butterfly sheets. They are here in pink and yellow.... but I did buy the red and black as well :)

Some ric rak came in the kit and I found these new Bazzill bling buttons!!
Bo Bunny buttons in my kit go really well with the paper.... love buttons.

Bo Bunny paper as well. Works out great since I did buy some of the new papers but not this line! This would be a great boy line although I think its a summer line.
My big purchase of the day was a Cuttlebug!!! I have been thinking about it for a while now and since I had lots of credit from the yard sale and a 40% off coupon so I went for it! The only reason I really wanted it was so I could play with the nestabilities dies. I bought two of those as well since they were all 30% off too!! But they didn't have any cuttlebugs in stock so I have to wait to play with it :( I hate waiting.
Anyone else have a cuttlebug? Do you love it? I had to pick between the Epic 6 and Cuttlebug but I just liked some of the features better on the bug. Any dies I NEED to get??

The one with some black and white
Black and white Momenta products :) All from the Black Tie collection. This is mostly a wedding collection..... but I think it works for a lot of different things as well. Love this picture of me and my friend Julia! We were downtown celebrating another friend's birthday this night.
Does it look crooked to you? Well I was scrapping away and when I stood up to admire... well it was so crooked! lol. Guess I need to stand up more often. Oh well.... I just cropped it to look straight hopefully :)
Some details..... these letters are my FAVORITE momenta product. Just the right size and polka dot print! yum!

The one with St. Louis
Woo Hoo!!! My first Momenta layout is done! Super fun and quick using these products. I used the travel line for this one. This page kit is so great! Can you believe that its only $5.00!!! It comes with everything you need to make lots of layouts... and I supplemented it with other Momenta goodies. Like the chipboard title and button stickers.
Some details. Everything is Momenta, except for the little flag... that's MM.
Now I only have three more layouts to get done for this month....(well for May actually!)
This past weekend was great and crappy at the same time. I had a migraine almost all weekend, but I sucked it up and had lots of fun with Friends. The best part is I think I converted Josie into a scrapper! She was over Friday night and we got chatting and before you know it.... she went to her house to grab a bunch of photos to stat scrapbooking them! We stayed up til 1am and made about 5 pages. So now I have another scrapping buddy :)
Sunday was the scrapbook yard sale at Scrappy Chic!!! Always great. Got some awesome deals on cropper hopper paper storage containers, got Josie a paper trimmer brand new in package for $5.oo! Plus lots of other goodies :)
Hope you had a great weekend too!!! Off to start another Momenta page!!!

The one with some cards
Since its wedding season.... and I had this beautiful Capella paper.... I thought I would make a couple cards!
I think my new favorite product from BG is their 'Pieces' (little journal cards and sayings). Between the three layouts I did for the DT and these cards I think I used about 10 of them! So versatile and great for cards!

Last night I met up with a few Friends from my old work! I really miss those guys!!!! We had so much fun talking we didn't realize the time just flew by.
After dinner I headed over to pick up my box of Momenta stuff that I had shipped to my friend Annette's house. When I dove in it was like Christmas! I can't wait to start using all the fun stuff I got..... and show it all to you! I got a couple doubles of things I think on accident so when I post my layouts I will be doing a RAK for those things!!!!
Other than that I am trying to get my last set of wedding invites done... almost there!!! I will share those too when they are done :)
Have a great weekend!
-Liz
PS- Had an interview on Monday..... I really hope I get it!!! Keeps your fingers crossed for me :)

The one with some Capella!
I have to say that I didn't run out and buy the Capella line when it came out.... like I do for most other BG lines. But I have fallen in love with it! Last night I sat down and turned these out. I think its the fastest layouts I have ever done. Its so much easier when you have to use specific products and not pick from a room full of stuff!!!
The Capella line was perfect for pictures from my SIL to be's bridal shower. So all my layouts this month for Scrappy Chic have pictures from that day!
This is my mom and her three sisters. I don't remember the last time we got a picture with them all together!
I used a sketch from Page Maps -BG Maps for this. A piece of Core'dinations for the base, some BG basics (with the writing on it), some sewing and a Websters Pages Sparkler to top it off. The rest is cappella.... love the bloomer :)
This next one is all the little details of the shower. An overview of the day. Usually my 'grid' pages don't turn out so well... but I like this one :)
The background is a sheet from We R Memory Keepers - the sewing comes on the page already. I added some brown stitching in between the white to tie it all together. Jenni Bowlin paper button and another sparkler on this one.
Hope you had a great weekend.... and long weekend to all the Americans!!!
