You know when you build something up in your mind.... your waiting for it... and then it happens.... you want it to be sooo perfect! Well I was that way about the line from Crate Paper. Silly I know.... its just paper! But it was by far my most favorite release this CHA. I have had so many ideas and I wanted to do the paper justice!
So here is what I came up with. Its my first with this line... and it won't be my last! Since its been so gloomy here, its been hard to get a good picture of the layout... so this is the best I could do.
As soon as I saw this trim from Making Memories I knew what I wanted to do with it. I really like how it tuned out as well. I also used some vintage actions of the photos to make them look older and grungier (is that a word?) to match the feeling of the papers. The embellishment in the bottom corner looks like a ships wheel to me.... and how fitting that these pics were taken on a boat! lol.
Used a super old Maya Road word title here... inked it then added some glossy accents over the top. Turned out really well!
Got an e-mail from Angela yesterday that our design team kits are ready over at Scrappy Chic! I really can't wait to go get it. All the new Pink Paislee Parisian Anthology collection came in.... and I need it ALL! I hope to pop over sometime this weekend before its all scooped up :)
(Mary or Cindy... please save me some of the ruffled darling ribbon and the fabric flower darlings!!!!)

YES, I know exactly what you mean! I have taken that Crate Paper line out and looked at it so many times, waiting for the perfect page to use it on! Little Red Scrapbook kit club is featuring it this month, so I keep checking there for the Design Team layouts to get ideas. I love yours!
This layout is beautiful!
I understand I have so much paper that I am saving for just the right thing. Now that is crazy as my room is full of papers LOL
Where have I been, I have missed so many of your posts
I have some CP Restoration and love the inspiration you just gave me to use it. But I understand about the Perfect Paper Syndrome, LOL!

Ack! You finally dug in! And the result looks great. Love that photo action, too -- grungier indeed.
Not to give too much away, but I might have been extra-nice this month and given you some House of Three paper. Maybe. But you're on your own for embellishments -- and they ARE lovely! I left the ribbon and flowers for you, but the tickets and journal spots are right here with me!
November's wide open for me so far -- any Sunday scrap preferences?
Great layout! Loved the CP releases this CHA too.
